Chris is an award winning landscape photographer and professional videographer.
I create my work to bring the night sky to others as inspiration not only to explore but to also to protect. So much of nature is missed in the night and I want to show people the magic that starlight can bring to a setting and to themselves. The more love people have for all landscapes the more likely they will do things to preserve and protect them. I want people to think “wow how did he do that?'“, or “wow I’ve never seen so much beauty form this perspective before”. I am inspired by other photographers but mainly the landscapes themselves. Seeing them go through changes in the seasons and picking up little details every shoot inspires me.
I was born and raised in San Diego California. My education and photography has taken me all over the world. I am a photographer/videographer and a science educator for over 14 years. I have an extensive background in astronomy, photography, and has won numerous awards for my photography work. I love the combination of science and art that astrophotography entails and I love to spread my passion for the night sky. I specialize in photographing the Milky Way in adventurous locations and sharing my experiences through educational workshops.
